Things to remember when moving

Don't delay, start today!
If you are are planning a moving there a a number of things you can do in advance instead of franticly trying to fit it all in around your moving date:

• Start packing as soon as possible, remember to declutter along the way, no need to take stuff with you to throw it out at other end.
• Mark each box with a number then make a list of what's inside, this will help you find what you're looking for when unpacking.
• Mark each box with the room destination. Eg/ Kitchen, lounge etc.
• Ensure boxes are not too heavy.
• Disconnect any electrical items prior to our arrival on site.
• Ensure all large items Eg/ wardrobes, desks etc are dismantled and ready to move.
• Remember to let us know if there is a delay with completion.

Once you know your moving date you will need to advise the following utility companies of your planned move date:

• Gas Supplier
• Electricity Supplier
• Telephone Service Provider
• Royal Mail Redirection Service
• Remember to redirect your gas/electricity suppliers with reading on the day you move.

• Driving Licence
• Bank/Building Society
• Credit Card Company
• Council Tax
• Electoral Roll
• Doctor
• Dentist
• Optician
